Child Support
Litigation which involves your children, and how they will be supported, can be very stressful, and emotions always run high when such a dispute exists between parents. But our team of lawyers have assisted hundreds of clients with child support issues and have decades of experience helping clients through the stress and emotions that go hand-in-hand when such litigation is imminent or has been filed.
What to Expect from your Child Support Consultation
Our lawyers often tell a client at the beginning of a family law consultation that during the first part of the meeting the client will be asked lots of questions in order for us to obtain as much information as possible about the issues facing the client, and then in the second part of the meeting, we will literally be teaching the client about the law and legal rules which are applicable to the client’s legal issues. And at that time we will provide the client with a very straight forward and direct analysis of the possible outcomes on the various issues that are present in the case. Often a client will start out the consultation feeling nervous and stressed, and even emotional. But by the time a client leaves the consultation, the client usually feels that they have not only been “heard,” but that they have been given the knowledge to enable them to understand what they are facing and the possible outcomes, so that the client feels much more in-control about a very stressful and uncertain situation.
