Personal Background & History
Mark grew up in North Carolina and Jacksonville, graduating from Terry Parker High School, and then attending college at University of Florida, where he graduated with a degree in business administration. Mark then attended law school at University of Georgia, where he received his Juris Doctor. Given his competing alma maters, it’s a bit difficult for him on Florida/Georgia game day! Go Gators?!? . . . Go Dawgs?!? Oh my!
Mark has resided in Atlanta, Georgia since graduating from law school, where he has built a thriving personal injury law firm, and where he has obtained impressive settlements and jury verdicts for his clients. Mark has handled numerous jury trials, and he’s obtained numerous multi-million dollar jury verdicts for his personal injury clients. But since Mark is also licensed to practice law in Florida and Alabama, he handles cases in those states, as well.
Mark is proud to be of counsel with Combs Greene, especially since he and Steve are old friends . . . they became friends during their high school days at Terry Parker. In fact, they visited University of Florida together when they were still in high school, and once they got to college at Florida they both joined the fraternity Phi Kappa Psi.
Mark has always been a hard worker . . . from his first job of being a dishwasher at a country club in Jacksonville, to working as a sheet metal helper at a Dupont factory in North Carolina, to selling encyclopedias door-to-door in Pennsylvania! In fact, Mark was such a hard worker that every summer during college and law school he worked multiple part time jobs in order to pay for his education!
That work ethic is still present today, as even while managing an extremely busy personal injury practice, Mark still managed to find the time to author a number of books and articles regarding damages and punitive damages . . . which not only shows what an incredibly hard worker he is, but also shows that he’s an intellectual, and maybe just a little bit geeky, too! But Mark also possesses a smart, low key and dry sense-of-humor which makes him a lot of fun to hang out with!
Mark has two children, and when he’s not working and spending time with his family, he loves jet skiing and boating. His favorite movies are Inception and Departed. Mark also loves traveling in the United States, as well as abroad. He’s traveled to China, and South America, and he recently went on safari with his father in Africa. In fact, Mark has visited 5 of the 7 continents . . . only Australia and Antarctica left to go!
