Let Us Put Our Experiences to Work for You
At Combs Greene, our lawyers not only have many years of experience representing clients who are facing family and matrimonial issues, but one of our lawyers, Steve Combs, also served as a family law magistrate for our local Court system for a number of years, and during that time he presided over more than fourteen thousand hearings in family law, divorce, paternity and dependency cases. While Steve served as a family law magistrate, he also received numerous child advocate awards, as well as the First Annual Dignity in the Law Award. So Steve has had the opportunity to participate in family law litigation both as an attorney, as well as a quasi judicial officer presiding over family law hearings. This gives him a unique perspective in analyzing the family law issues which face our clients.
In addition, one of our lawyers, Deborah Greene, has personal experience facing some of the very same family law issues which are faced by her clients. Early in Deborah’s legal career she went through a divorce, which involved her then young son. So Deborah knows first hand, the uncertainty, fear, stress and the myriad of other emotions that permeate the lives of her clients when they are facing family and matrimonial law issues. Deborah has also lived with the ups and downs of co-parenting a child post-divorce, which she and her former spouse were able to do for 15 years. And Steve, who is Deborah’s husband, as well as law partner, has observed Deborah’s post-divorce co-parenting experience, as well as experiencing the dynamic of being a step-parent, and living in a blended family, for nearly 2 decades.
These experiences enable Deborah and Steve to truly understand where the firm’s clients are coming from, from the time they first walk through our doors, all the way through the post-litigation issues which our clients will continue to grapple with long after a divorce or other family law litigation is over.
Deborah and Steve, and their team, Andrea Jevic, Maggie Tuggle, and Brandon Joyce, stand ready to apply their well honed legal skills and knowledge, and their decades of combined experience in family law matters, as well as their own personal, real-world experiences with family law issues, to your family or matrimonial law case.
